Why I think The Bourne Ultimatium will be such a big hit
July 31, 2007

1. It’s a sequel and part of an established franchise and people are looking forward to seeing how it ends.

2. The story looks a lot better then the second one (in my opinion)
Like in the first movie, Bourne will be fighting against an army of assassins, only this time they are from a new black ops team (Black Briar) instead of Tread Stone (the black ops team that Bourne was a former agent of)

3. The car chase will be even more action-packed and intense then the car chase in the second movie (which is saying something)

4. The cast. Matt Damon’s star has risen since the last Bourne movie thanks to his roles in Ocean’s Twelve, Syriana, The Departed, The Good Shepard and Ocean’s Thirteen). His performance as Bourne is great and I think was used as a source of inspiration in his role in The Departed.

They brought Joan Allen and Julie Stiles which was a good move and helps give the movie good continuity.

5. The most obvious reason: like Live Free or Die Hard, the Bourne Ultimatium does not use CGI for most of the action and effects. This movie uses good old sets and stuntmen to do the job.

6. The movie has little upcoming competition in terms of big movies and only just has to compete with The Simpons Movie for audience members.

A Year’s Worth of Vices
July 31, 2007

Hey, I was listening to Elliot In The Morning today before work, and he said something about this lady who went to Starbucks everyday for an entire year. she got the same thing every tall, a Grande Ice Latte which cost $4.25. Because she did this she spent a little bit more than $1550 just on coffee. Think of what other useful things she could have spent that money on, such as her car payments, or her kids education.

here is a look at some other vices, if purchased everyday for a whole year, would probably burn a crater in your pocket.

Pack of Camel cigarettes (Purchased in Bethesda, Md.) $5.25 x 365 days = $1920

A Bottle of most Imported Beers at a bar $6 x 365 days = $2190

Most McDonalds Value Meals $5.50 x 365days = $2005, not to mention about 50Lbs of solid fat

Look how much money we throw away every day on things, that if we thought about it twice, we probably could go with out it.

Top 5 Favorite Simpsons Episode
July 26, 2007

In honor of The Simpsons Movie coming out tomorrow I thought that I would list my top 5 favorite episodes.

1. Sideshow Bob episode parody of the movie “Cape Fear”
story: The Simpson’s have to move down South under Witness Protection when Sideshow Bob escapes from jail and tries to kill Bart. One of the first Sideshow Bob episodes and easily the best.

My favorite part: The scene where Sideshow Bob gets hit in the face by a dozen rakes.

2. The episode where Homer is on a softball team and his coach/ boss Mr.Burns ends up hiring pro baseball players for the team.

3. The two part- episode of “Who Shot Mr. Burns”

4. The episode where Homer becomes so overweight that he gets to do his job at home.

5. The episode with Lisa’s robot grammar and spelling expert (robot’s name was Lingwow, I think)

That’s all for now. Be sure to see The Simpsons Movie tomorrow. If you have a favorite Simpsons episode be sure to reply to this, if you want.

Dont Point your Hand At Me
July 23, 2007

You know what I really hate?
when people, who are walking across the street in front of a car, put their hand out as to say “Stop” i have the right of way.

I don’t think people know how annoying this is, because if they did, they would be lying down in a pool of their own blood. That’s how annoying it is.

I feel like when people do this, they are trying to use their Jedi powers to force me to think that i have to stop and let them go. just walking, shaking their hand like they can control my mind.

once someone dared to put their hand on the hood of my car while yelling stop at me. I wasn’t even moving and they insisted that i was going to run them over. its like “Lady, I’m at a friggin intersection, i know have to stop, but you sticking ur hand out there makes me want to stop less and less”

one of these days, someone is gonna wave their hand at me to make me stop, and I’m gonna plow them right over.
where are your Jedi powers now, hu?

July 20, 2007

Today’s blog is to celebrate the release of the final Harry Potter book (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows). I will be doing this by reflecting on what Harry Potter I enjoyed the most in descending order.

My top favorite Harry Potter books are as follows currently:(Note: I loved all of the books equally but I am just listing them by how much I enjoyed one book over the other.)

1. Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire

2. Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix

3. Harry Potter and The Half – Blood Prince

4. Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban

5. Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets

6. Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone

This list may change in the future for the following reasons: I have not read the final book yet, all of the books are great, and each book has a different story and tone to it.

First the list of the shows that are nominated and the amount of nominations each show has received is as follows:

There is no doubt that the Sopranos will probably be taking home the most Emmy’s in terms of a TV drama series as this past season was its last season. It will face some really tough competition in the shows Heroes (NBC) and Grey’s Anatomy however. As for comedy awards, Ugly Betty has the most nominations with 11, though it too will face tough competition from the shows 30 Rock (NBC) and The Office (NBC).

That’s all for now.

How will Harry Potter book 7 end?
July 17, 2007

Today’s blog is about some guesses of mine of how Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows MIGHT end and who would die since two main characters will die.

1. Harry kills Voldemort in a huge fight at the end of the book and goes on with his life.

2. Harry and Voldemort both kill each other at the end of the book during their fight.

3. The other main character to die in Book 7 will be Hagrid, I think since he is the other person who took care and watched over Harry.

That is all for now.
