Live Music This Week In DC

Hey, today’s post is nothing more than a listing of some cool music events that are going down in the city this week, as well as every week.

On Tuesdays, check out the Eighteenth Street Lounge during happy hour. DJ Kalani, co-founder of Gypsy Eyes Records and former Thievery Corporation manager will be spinning beats. Free BBQ and drink specials. Kalani plays some dope music.
after happy hour, head over to Cafe Saint Ex. for Yellow Fever, and DJ trio that plays a really cool mix of dubby house music blended with some more mainstream beats, really good. the place never gets overly crowded. always a good time

On Wednesdays head back to the Eighteenth Street Lounge for some of the best live reggae in all of Washington DC. Rockas International performs out on the patio starting around 9:30. Seriously, these guys are ridiculously good. its a mix of standard reggae mixed with a new dubbed out lounge type of music. you don’t want to be late, because this place gets pretty packed pretty quickly.

On Thursdays, check out Bossa in Adams Morgan. ICU and DJ Alex Gold perform every Thursday night. Bossa is a club you should really check out. It tends to stay a little bit less crowded then the rest of the Adams Morgan bars, and the music here is very cool, very laid back style of beats.

These events go on every week, so if you cant make it out this week don’t worry, because you will always have another chance. you really need to check these people out because this type of music is been extremely popular in DC for a while, and yet it has stayed relatively unknown despite this.
